We were tidying stuff out of our house recently and I came across some really cringe worthy stuff I had written a few years back. Usually when I find that stuff I throw it into the fireplace but the fireplace isn't used during the Summer so I couldn't, and I didn't want to throw these away, I wanted them DESTROYED.

so I went outside and brought a box of matches and after trying like 50 times (I've never been good with matches) finally got the lump of paper on fire. But then the air made it move a bit towards the fence (made out of wood) so I got scared and stamped it out.

That's been my one experience with playing with fire. I would try it again on a less windy day.

I've always learned it verbally, but I have this preoccupation involving the laptop lately...yes, it got hot....no I didn't get burns, but I did burn myself. All I notice is that it's hot and that my hand itches. This is not the same feeling as something liek a hot pan though, I can't touch those...at least not longer than an NT would, I'd guess.

My oldest set his bedroom floor on fire in the early am one day and once he was up again and plugged the rice steamer in then dropped the lid down inside on the heating element. The smoke alarms going off at 3 am are enough to give someone tramatic stress disorder. Early onset Bi Polar is fun...good times! :bom:

I once burned a hole in the floor in my dad's car when I was seven using a cigarette lighter.

My younger brother set his bed on fire with an exposed lightbulb. Lucky for my parents I had to go to the room to make sure he was not playing with my planet of the apes action figures. He was playing with the action figures on my bed while the fire was just starting. I threw a blanket on the fire and it went out since it was not that big. I think I was more afraid of loosing my action figures then my little brother.

LOL...yeah, I do that too and I always have awesome bruises and sometimes wonder where they came from? I knock myself around so much I dont even remember. My poor NT daughter inherited my Kluzyness more than my Aspies....actually she is worse that me even! Shes is beautiful, tall, thin, sweet, responsible...she could be a runway model but she would probably fall off the runway  !

"Early one morning, just as the day was dawning,
A great wheel of fire slammed skywards from the jail,
The stone walls crumbled, the iron bars melted,
No-one in the prison lived to tell the tale.

No-one ever found McGuire's little tinder-box,
No-one ever found a trace of Tim McGuire,
Perhaps he's up in heaven? setting light to angels' haloes,
Perhaps he's down in hell? dancing round the fire."

I was just saying to a colleague this morning, it's been a long time since anything I've been working on has caught fire. Happened a few times with older equipment when I didn't know what I was doing so much. :)

Worst burn I've had was a scald from dropping a pan of boiling water on my foot. The skin went all bubbly and horrible, like a boiled chicken skin, yuck. :)

I love watching fire.
