Am I a Kinks geek, or a Kinks nerd?

I think being a devoted fan of someone/something falls under geek territory. So, I think you are a Kinks geek.

I myself am a Johnny Depp geek, a Tim Burton geek, and a movie geek in general... or a movie buff, or a cinephile... however you prefer to label someone who loves films and knows a lot about them.

I must be a gnerd :) Maybe mostly nerd. I geek out about newly discovered books, and I'm a nerd because I can tell you which shelf in the library it's on without a second thought.
I fail at so many things not related to science and literature  I can't lock or unlock doors or remember not to microwave silverware (gosh only knows why  ) but I can tell you how many poisonous cephalopods there and what they are and where they are found and how they release the toxins. 8)

I consider myself to be a nerd. I absolutely despise being called a geek. The way I see it there are three levels of socially incompetent "intellectuals". You have the dorks, these are the guys that hang out with the geeks and try to be like them but despite how hard they try it's obvious they aren't even smart. Geeks are fairly smart but they aren't very versatile, they might know a lot of star wars trivia and be able to fix a computer but they might not even know how to check the tire pressure on their car. I see nerds as being an information sponge, they might have an intellectual weakness here or there but they are still above average in their weaknesses, they might even get along with "non-intellectuals" and most likely get annoyed with dorks.

i dont like it when people bring up IQ when talking about intelligence, giftedness, or intellectuals.
i've been called "mildly ret*d", "brain damaged" etc etc and according to one psychologist who underrated my overall IQ score, i am barely average IQ score(overall), however, i know that im very intelligent. If i was stupid, I wouldnt be able to learn calculus, build telescopes or anything. im NOT stupid and my intelligence is unrelated to my IQ score!! i am not only smart, but i am artistically gifted and im also intelligent with science and math. My IQ score does not reflect my overall ability.
