Yea... I have too many fond memories of the stomach flu and food poisoning episodes. Unparalleled suckage.

I hate how after the initial projectile expulsion of the previous meal you think you're gonna feel better... then ten minutes later you're once again deliberating whether you might need to run to the throne again. At that point you hope that perhaps the feeling is just psychological and if you can manage to hold out a few more minutes you might feel drastically better. Perhaps the initial upchuck was just a fluke.

But then after another ten minutes go by you realize there's absolutely no doubt that you really *are* going to puke again... bummer. And then you have to make a decision... if you wait any longer the mere act of sitting up will cause you to puke before you can even reach the toilet. So you stand up and walk as slowly as possible... until you start to feel your stomach lurching, then its time for another sudden dash.

Then it just keeps repeating throughout the day until you're puking that thick stomach mucus that just hangs from your mouth until you spit it out and gasp for air. Such a joy.

At least once you're better you really appreciate how nice it feels to *not* be sick.

I rarely ever throw up. The last time I did was in the spring of '08 when my entire family caught the stomach flu. I only vomited once, and not that much came out. Prior to that, I had gone about 6 years without vomiting. I hope I don't vomit again for at least a few more years.

I barfed a few nites ago. Think I ate part of the peeling of a bad baked potato cuz I had that for supper. I was having major stomach cramps for about 6 hours after eating before I tried laying down on my back & as soon as I did; I had to barf & I started feeling better. Before the other nite; I hadn't barfed in a long time but I do have nauseous moments every few days or so when I see really gross & disturbing things online(I won't say anymore cuz this is not the Adult forum). I used to get motion sickness a lot as a kid but that hasn't happened in like 15 years. I only really barf now if I'm majorly sick witch seldom happens.

That happened to me all through grade school and a bit into middle school (sixth and seventh grade).

In 7th grade art class it just happened while I was trying to leave the room to get to the restroom. It landed all over this kid who always picked on me--how fitting.

Since then, it only happens if I'm really sick with the flu or a migraine. Thankfully, that isn't very often.

Vomiting is one of the most frightening things to me, as I can't control the inhalation (or hiccup) reflex, and every time I do get sick enough to vomit, I inhale it, and get pneumonia which needs antibiotics. God bless; I only get that sick maybe once every 5 years.

Barf? Absolutely!

While pulling 9 Gs when inverted, yeah I may fill up a barf bag or two.

Oh also when I eat something toxic or contaminated.

;)

Seriously. Barfing isn't normal. If you keep doing it please go to your doctor. ;)

Not since I was 9, which is good since my emetophobia is pretty horrendous.

Oh Thanksgiving 2009 I was in the ER. It was bad. I had food poisoning. I don't eat at Subway anymore after that episode. I had their veggie sandwich. I had to have IV since I was so dehydrated and I had a fever too. They gave me some medication where it melted in my mouth. That was the last time I vomited. I have had times where I felt like I was going to vomit. The hot weather can do it to me. Also being on a hot train that is so crowded coming back home from work can make me fell sick too.

I can't tolerate milk. I used to drink milk as a kid before I realized I had the problem. I had a lot of vomiting attacks.

If I had a choice of being sick or breaking my leg really badly so I'm on crutches for months, I'd chose the leg option.
