I don't get myself into drama here

i do not get involved in discussion much.
i do not care what the flavor of the thread is. i will post my first thoughts to it.
i do not get involved with popularity threads.
i do not expect to find what i am looking for because i am not looking for anything.
i do not like the sex threads where i can almost smell the stale sexual odor of eager posters who i do not think have AS.
i do not care whether what i write is ignored because i read what i posted and that is all that matters to me.

i do not want to join the status queue and wait in a boring line to be recognized by the stars of WP.

i do not say serious and thoughtful things because it is like pouring your heart out to mudcrabs who scurry about on the sands of opportunity at low tide.

i do not look strangers in the eye and tell what my heart is feeling because they are just fleeting sets of eyes who search for the epicenter of where the action is.

i do not believe that because WP is full of people who all talk in innuendo, that i am not autistic because i can not do so.

i do not cringe and adopt urban dictionary terms to fit in.

i am someone who orbits the wrong planet.
i never decided to land, and i have enough power to get back to where i came from.

escape velocity of WP is simply attained by the thrust of a decision that goes "whhhhhhhhh.....not for me"

i can not talk here without littering the road of the threads with heavy blocks of foreign matter.

there is no one like me who likes me here and so another thing i do not do on wrong planet is be deluded that it is like a home.

WP is a cold and selective place, and unless you are capable of empathy and humor and you are young and frisky, there will be no landing pad open to you.

whatever....i will continue to orbit and pay a few minutes attention everyday to what is happening on the ground.

There's an awful lot I don't do on Wrong Planet which perhaps some day I will do. Though I know, for sure, I will never go to the chat room. I do, however, enjoy the precious little I do here.

I don't bleed.

There are a lot of people who do and I totally understand that. There is a lot of pain and people need a safe place to put it. But I think that the safety of WP is an illusion. The sidebar says that at this moment there are 746 people online at WP. About 30 of them seem to be posting. That level of lurkdom makes me a little nervous. Also, once you say something on the internet, you can never take it back. Never. It lasts as long as the internet does.

I've had the impulse to metaphorically tap a vein and bleed onto the screen as many do. I have no doubt it's really cathartic. But it just doesn't seem safe to me so I stamp down hard on the impulse.

edited to add that since I hit "post", the sidebar now says there are 791 people online. 50 more people logged on just in the time it took me to post. Ok, maybe a bunch of them are just bots but still...

I don't swear on WP, or at least I try not to.
