I don't have favorites in anything and I love all birds.

I think tropical birds are by far the most beautiful and fascinating though. I adore parrots....even the less colorful ones have fantastic personalities and are simply adorable.

I almost mentioned those two in my other post but I only thought of em cuz they wer popular. Here's my favorite fictional bird

Image

I like him cuz he's crazy & very funny to watch.

I think the platypus is my favorite real bird.

Image

It may not be technically a bird but I think it's DNA chromosomes are linked to birds. It's defiantly unique in the animal kingdom & I can relate to being very diffrent

The Arctic Tern, considering it has such a remarkable migration.

The answer to that seems obvious to me. It's all coded in the genes of the bird species in question.

I like svans. They are graceful, and they mate for life.
If one of them dies, the other one will live the rest of its life alone.

i love the corvids, especially blue jays, gray jays, staellar's jays, magpies, ravens and crows. wait, i think i listed all of them.

also, hummingbirds. i held one in my hand once. it flew in an open window and couldn't escape. it sounded exactly like a bumblebee in the house! he was so quiet in my hands, probably paralyzed with fear.

i am a total bird nerd!

Wow thats so cool, they are so small and delicate, I am also into birding and love corivids, especially magpies, they
always talk to me and knock on my window if there's no peanuts if the feeder, I sort of feel they are my spirit animal

Here is a northern flicker which is a woodpecker that was at my feeder last march, the males make a racket by on the pecking the tops of street lights, is so funny

thanks! love your sweet picture of the northern flicker! magpies and crows and blue jays etc. all have such extensive language don't they? if you listen closely they make meowing sounds and sometimes it totally sounds like 'hello' and things like that. i always stop and listen.
