The foods are like the best are Chinese, Thailandish but also western foods like American, German and Canadian foods.

In fact I am considering moving either to China or Canada because they have the best variety of foods there. Where I live the food is not so good.

Rose syrup: delicious and also used in a lot in India, China and Singapore. They use it for cooking, on desserts or simply as a drink.

Potatoes (especially baked/roasted)
Peanut butter
Pad thai
Stir fries
Risotto
Bean burritos
Garlic bread (anything with tons of garlic, actually)
Anything sweet and salty (like french fries dipped in plum sauce, tofu teriyaki)
Freshly baked bread
Veggie sushi
Cheesecake

fried green tomatoes and white potatoes made any way except for potato pancakes.

I love spicy foods, and I also love foods from basically any ethnicity. My favourite is probably Indian though. Mmmmm!

Indian food

I used to hate Indian food -- the flavors were far too overpowering. It bothered me even to go in an Indian restaurant.

Then I had a heavy case of the flu that seems to have destroyed much of my ability to smell. My sense of smell/taste has returned somewhat over the years, but for several years I really couldn't tell the difference in foods by taste -- for example, between a hamburger and food on a Chinese buffet.

One day I stopped at an Indian restaurant and found that I could suddenly eat the food and I could actually taste it to some extent. Ever since then, Indian food has been my favorite. I would eat it every meal, if it was available. Unfortunately, the nearest Indian restaurant to my house is 100 miles away.

Today, 35 years after that case of flu, I have some sense of smell, but oftentimes it screws up badly and I frequently smell things that aren't even there.

I like cakes, cookies, pies etc, particularly fruity ones. I like plain fruits, too, such as grapefruits, pineapples and so on.

I also like very spicy hot food, too.

Korean food, specifically bibimbap and daenjangchigae. I also like sashimi, and real Italian style pasta, not the sugar filled dish we know in America as spaghetti with marinara sauce. Pasta swimming in sugar sauce. yuck.
