I love the Toddlerpedes, as they're called. I wish I'd thought of that idea first This is the guy who makes them: http://beinart.org/artists/jon-beinart/

That first doll - am I right, you're implying these are sex toys? - is a bit creepy. Can't see it clearly, but how small is her waist? I see they strive for realism (heavy irony).

Tell you what's really creepy, though...those hyper-real baby dolls they sometimes advertise in my mother-in-law's weekly gossip mags. I think they're called So Truly Real, and they're made to have a skin texture and weight like a real baby...some of them actually have a mechanism in them to make them breathe. I saw a TV documentary about women who buy hyper-real baby dolls, and they all had some kind of backstory...they'd either lost a baby or, in one case, they had a real daughter and they appeared to have lost interest as the kid got older and developed a personality of her own. Ick.

I think there's basically something slightly disturbing about all non-human humanoid things, though. Store window dummies are a bit sinister IMHO.

Thanks for the link. I think they've got a scorpion like quality to them too.

I seen a site selling a life-sized doll of Hannah Montana :o Seems kind of wrong to me. If I had some money I would get it & I'd get some fireworks
