I wonder if one day, WP would start having a million members? For sure, WP server would crash every second.

We're upgrading the server memory this week. Expect things to improve. Wrong Planet is incredibly active.

I was wondering if alot of these new accounts are sock puppets, the last 100 before 40000 seemed to go faster then normal

It's good that we have 40,000 members here but it sux that WP cant have 1/40th of em online without getting overloaded. The server needs to be able to handle more than 1,000 members at a time. Maybe there could be some kind of donation or fundraiser so the server can be upgraded to handle 1,500; that would be good for a while.

Well.... Lets extrapolate this out

2004 - 2 members
2005 - 1500 members
2006 - 5000 members
2007 - 12000 members
2008 - 20000 members

At it's current rate of growth, should it continue, Alex would middle aged by the time that happened
