I once wanted to make a sandwich. When I took the bread slices out of the bag, I found it had green spots on them. I almost threw up!

Sounds like you had weavils. 8)

I like raw salmonnnnn. I bet it was supposed to be that way, Seattle does a lot of rare-cooked fish.

Anyway one time when I was a kid I bit into a dinner roll and there was MEAT PASTE INSIDE. I was traumatized. I didn't know people made rolls like that. I like them now but it was super frightening at the time.

Back in the 90's when the Buffalo Bills were in the super bowl for the last time I went to a subway where the chick making the subs was sniffling and staggering around. She told me I should not order a sub from her becuase some guy came in sniffling then an hour or two later she was sick as a dog. I thought she just did not want serve the weird guy a sub so I ordered six full length subs for my friends and family that was at my house. By the time I got walked halfway home I was dizzy but I chalked it up to be it being February and very cold out. After I ate my sub I could not get off the couch because I had a slight fever and was really dizzy. My friend Don just looks at me and says he is going home before he gets it. By the time Don gets home he is dizzy and really sleepy. Everyone with the exception of my mother got sick from the subway subs Don's mom even got sick and she did not have a any of the subs. 8O I never heard the end of it for years after that.

I once ate half a jar of spicey salsa only to find two maggot-caterpiller like hybrid creatures floating in the salsa they were hald an imch long and fat. :P 8O

I also ate pizza in Alabama once what a mistake that was I feel sorry for all those of you on the board who half to eat Pizza outside of New York, Buffalo, Cincinatti, Rochester, and Philadelphia. Everyone outside just don't know how bad you got it. Anyone one who has not had Buffalo wings at Duff's or the Anchor bar in Buffalo has led an incomplete life. :P 8)

Theres a Thai resteraunt across the street from my house and I had some type a spicy red curry coconut sauce on rice and it tasted great. About five hours later it had me running towards the toilet causing me to freackle the toilet bowl. When it came out it was loud, gassey, and went off with a loud windy whump. I never had gas or diareaha like that before I am going to try it again on day when I am a little braver and a lot bored.

There was also this time that we had some friends from California come up. We've decided to go to a Greek restaurant. I've ordered chicken kebabs, and the chicken wasn't cooked all the way through. Needless to say, I was very sick the next day.

heh,,, a few years ago while still in college, I came home after a very hot ride on the train (it was summer) and I craved a glass of icy cold elderflower juice. So I get a glass, open the fridge and pour from the jug that normally contains juice... I take a big gulp of the stuff... and it was chicken boullion..... I just spat it all through the kitchen door and outside BLECH!

it was sooooo nasty :(

A few weeks ago I found a small tupperware box in the back of my fridge... let's just say it USED to be some leftover meat sauce I had forgotten everything about for a few months... threw the boc and contents in the bin... however, had I been a biologist, it'd been good research right there... I think the mold was about to gain sentience at that point :P

Once at a LAN party I ordered a kebab pizza ate it while watching a movie... however, during a counterstrike match, it had me running for the toilet... let's just say while I was there, the color of the toilet turned from white to a chocolatey BROWN and the nearby sink became officially puke-yellow with red and green spots apparently caused by undigested pepper..... yum.

I, having lived in Australia, also had the chance of tasting this mushy brownish thing from the bowels of Hell. It tastes incredibly salty... which is explained by the fact it's made from yeast. However it's good for you, among having some good minerals and prolly a few vitamins, it also has a huge amount of salt, which can be used to get the body's salt balance back on track...

but the taste.... THE TAAAASTE!! !!

you might have a lot of salt receptors on your tongue. i am at the opposite extreme, i can barely taste salt even if it is right on my tongue. so all things tend to taste cardboardy for me. i have to make my food scream with flavor, for me to taste anything.

I had one incident in which I inadvertently inhaled mustard, if that counts.

Agonies! :(

gee, i bet that smart something fierce. when my older brother was a little one, he was in a hurry to drink his milk and he somehow sucked it up into his sinuses and it ran out his nose. mucus-flavored moo, what a concept.

Well, the food itself seemed good at the time... Anyway, I just took a trip to California a few weeks back. We were driving (24 hours). We had just gotten into Texas and stopped to get dinner at fast food restaurant. My boyfriend took a few bites of his and said it didn't taste right, but I thought my food was fine, so kept on eating. An hour later, I was stricken with almost unbarable stomach cramps and was totally nauseaus. This lasted consistently for the next 24 hours. I didn't feel right my entire five day visit in California. I woke up every morning with the urge to throw up. That was my first experience with food poisoning. I made it 24 years without ever experiencing that. I guess it was just time. :?

I have a love/hate affair with quinoa..so full of protein and delicious, but one time I had taken something from my RN mother for a migraine, and was vomiting the quinoa up an hour later. It took me almost two years to touch the stuff again.
