yeah, and a value burger from any fast food joint is about half as big as it was 5 years ago.

The companies save billions a year that way, that's why they are 'value'

People complain when they raise prices, so instead they make the portions smaller. I remember reading something about a bottled drink where they redesigned the bottle so that it appeared to be the same size, but there was a huge indentation in the bottom of it so that it held less liquid.

Those dumb stickey pads you put on the bottum of your feet to 'pull out bad chemicles'. You can easily see what a scam they are by lightly putting water onto the pad.

what's really bad is when they both reduce the size and increase the price.

I was in business class the other day. My business teacher told us that most jars of condiments and stuff like that have half an inch of glass at the bottom, so it looks like more. There was a term for it, but I forget what it was.

I would call it condenting or perhaps condindenting

Professional Football (Soccer to the Americans, Canadians etc).

There are 100s of thousands of people dying of hunger, dehydration and disease every single day on this planet, yet an insane amount of money surrounds football. Footballers play because they love the sport, but the wages say otherwise and the sponsorship, memorabilia, TV adverts etc etc all amount to a vast amount of money.

If the highest earning people in the football related industry were to reduce their wages we could be developing clean water, housing, hospitals, schools, agriculture and a whole lot more in less fortunate nations.

Makes me f*****g sick that society let this disproportion of wealth continue, and that goes for many things!! !! !!
