I'm not a fan of slap stick, it's a bit lame (and tame) for my tastes.

Happy tree friends is pretty good, especially the "blind date" episode.

It's often too predictable, and when done by performers who use the same basic routines for their whole act it rapidly becomes irritating.
Mildly amusing the first two or three times - but the tenth? No, not really.

People always expect me to like Slapstick comedy, but, I'm with Cornflake on this one. I think it could be easily explained by saying the word 'meh'.

I've grown up watching a lot of classic cartoons like Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry and even some Disney cartoons with the kind of stuff that the Moral Guardians screamed would turn us all into violent sociopaths, but I think I'm fairly okay since I've never tried to drop a grand piano on someone's head or slam them over the head with an extremely large mallet. :lol:

Maybe some kids or even adults might imitate something like that, but they're usually messed up to begin with, and banning or censoring cartoons or video games is like --- Oh gee, I guess we should ban swimming because some people drowned when they did, or driving because there are so many car accidents mainly caused by carelessness and things that could have been prevented.

IMHO, slapstick comedy minus the boings and splats and sproingggs would fall as flat as a marching band sans instruments.

like all comedy it's in the making.
if too repetitive than it's boring, but done well it can make me burst into laughter
to mind the best example would be from throw mamma from the train
