Lack of decent transport if you don't drive (the railway station is over a mile out of town, the buses magically disappear after 6pm)
Chavs
Nothing much to do
No decent shops
Tories
Relative lack of culture, although nowhere near as bad as other small towns.

The weather is usually very hot & humid all summer & during the winter it fluctuates between extremes. It's cold one day & then it suddenly gets hot & then cold again. We also have the risk of hurricanes.

It's extremely hard for people with disabilities here. Our politicians believe that business will not come here if they face high taxes. They believe that the government needs to budget within it's means & that it's unfair to take money away from hard working Americans to give the people who are too lazy to get jobs. So all the social services/programs especially health-care, mental health & education have been getting their budgets slashed for the last 10 years.

People here complain about immigrants like Mexicans stealing jobs from Americans but they love to higher em because they do not have to provide benefits & they can pay em a lot less.

A lot of the people here are very hypocritical. The preach religion at others but they do not fallow their own beliefs because they believe that they can do what they want because god will forgive them if they ask.

I also live in a rural area & there's not really a form of public transportation here & I cant drive because of low vision

Wow...the Florida panhandle sounds alot like Southern Louisiana.

That, except for GED's (that's what i am going to be getting next year). And, silly high humidity after it rains (not the rain, i like rain), every thing being far away

My advice about the GED (since I'm a test proctor) is to follow the instructions of the test administrator very carefully and make sure that if you have a cell phone is is no where on your person during testing.

The GED isn't all bad...I just get alot of the people who you can tell didn't even bother to try in highschool. I also get a very small majority of people who are very intelligent and just wish to get highschool out of the way.

Dull buildings.
No visible history.
Traffic.
Seedy, run-down parks.
Chavs.
Seedy, run-down shops.
More chavs.
No libraries at all.
Tesco.
No music shops.
No bookshops. (actually, there is a small one - but when I was looking for a copy of Dickens' American Notes the guy asked "Is it new?". My reply, as I hastily left, of "No - he's dead, you know" seemed appropriate)

East Alabama is pure inhuman evilness! My issues with this place:

Rednecks

The American version of Chavs

Preps

Tea Partiers (the political kind)

In your face Christians

80% of the people around me are of subhuman intelligence.

Everything to do is in Georgia.

The inhuman heat.

Nobody around here can drive without being stupid. (soldiers are the exception)

Sources say, where I live is particularly favored by the dreaded stink bug. They're flipping everywhere. If you kill them they let off this chemical smelling stink.

I've grown a little fond of them actually. if you flip them on their back they wiggle a bit and flip themselves back over. They will sometimes not move for a week and they look like teeny tiny tanks.

no good music stores, no f-ing walmart, no sportscard shop. there all in another town south of here and for a city as big as santa rosa is, its completely baffling and pissing me off.

plus I KNOW for a fact it gets hot here in the summertime and i'll be miserable.

i just know it
