I don't have a home accent, because I lived in lots of places as a child.

When I was at primary school, I lived in Derry in Northern Ireland. I sounded a lot like Feargal Sharkey from the Undertones (with the natty red/burgandy jacket and shaggy hairdo).

Then I moved to Manchester, and I learned to copy the new accent to prevent myself from being bullied. I sounded like Ian Curtis.

Then I moved to Preston in Lancashire, and ended up speaking a bit like Freddie Flintoff.

Every time I've moved house my accent has changed. I don't know if that is because I don't want to be bullied, or just good at mimicking people. Now I live in East Anglia my accent has become quite nondescript. Because I don't come into contact with many people now, I just have a quite standard English accent. The local Suffolk accent is quite interesting though, its very farmy and rural around here, maybe if my social skills improve I will start speaking that way. I wouldn't mind, as I really like it.

Yes, his Danish-accented English is terrible but I have heard some very, very sexy women from Denmark speaking in English.

Miranda Lambert sounds like me. If only I could belt out the tunes like she does. I'm too controlled when I sing. Here's an interview with Miranda Lambert so you can listen to her talk:
