It's produced by an independent brewery up in Fraserburgh in north-east Scotland. They produce artisan and high-strength beers.

They brewed the strongest beer in the world, I think, at 55% ABV.

So it's a local brew to you then. Interesting.

Now that is strong...although I have heard of those very tiny bottles down in Cornwall about 125%...not sure that is ABV though.

No; it was a once-only job at a beer festival.

And it's not a local beer by a long shot - it's brewed about as far away from here as you can get whilst still being in the UK.

At least you tried it. Of course it wouldn't be as far away as London....where they know nothing of beer (strong beer anyways).

360miles from Fraserburgh > my home.
230miles from my home > London.

London does have one or two independent breweries that produce good, stronger beers. I can think of Meantime Brewery and Fullers with their London Porter. But that's about it. People, all across the country, don't generally drink stronger beer.

Given that it's 550 miles from London to Aberdeen, you'd be better off flying if you could get away with it. When we go to Northern Ireland we fly and, OK, it's across the sea but even so it's less than half the distance than that between Aberdeen and London.

Ah I see...although I wouldn't say everyone doesn't drink stronger beer...I hear Stella's pretty strong.

It's certainly faster to fly there rather then taking a ferry...like my school did going to France ¬_¬
