Almost everything is banned or regulated to the nth degree in Britain. It's very damaging to our society and to future generations too.

There are so many laws here that regulate common behaviour that in many cases to intervene - i.e. when someone is being beaten up, a child is in danger or is hurt - a lot of people simply won't bother. The main effect of all this legislation and paranoia has been a vast increase in people not getting involved to aid people in dangerous situations, terrified of being arrested, beaten up, or accused by a screeching parent of paedophilia. It really is very bad here.

When you begin to understand that there's quite a lot of corruption going on it all makes sense. Which means that now, whenever I go to the GP, I always take care to think for myself and don't just believe what they tell me. Which includes doing my own research first. They hate that.

Oh hell yeah, corruption accompanied by laziness and ignorance, I don't understand how people can trust their own health completely to their GP - by all means let your GP do their job, but learn enough to know your options and what's best for you. They do hate that...they hate it even more if you say 'Oh, okay, but Google says...' I don't think they get the humour

Standing armies, international cartels, nuclear weapons, hollow point ammunition, depleted uranium shells, yellow journalism

I've got no issue with letting GPs do their job when they know what they're doing. It's just that there's still a tendency of many people today to treat GPs as though they're some kind of deity which I find very unsettling. And which of course can lead to laziness and bad ones manipulating their authority.

I'll listen but if what she tells me doesn't sound right, I'll ask her to clarify what she means.

Alittle knowledge is dangerous

People talking on their cellphones while driving should be pulled over, handcuffed, and detained for a week. No excuses.

In fact, I think cell phones should be illegal. You know what, lets just go ahead and make ALL phones illegal :D

Toyota Prius' should also be illegal, as well as any other Hybrid/Electric vehicles. All vehicles should be V8's, and it would be against the law to drive anything with less than 400bhp :D

I think it should be illegal...

for corporations to not pay taxes
for rich people to not pay taxes
for tobacco companies to add chemicals to cigarettes
to talk or text on cell phones while driving (it is illegal in some places)
for States to restrict health care or marriage rights to a resident who seeks care or marriage outside the State's jurisdiction
for HIPAA to be overridden by anti-choice legislation

I could probably think of more, but that's just off the cuff.

Discrimination against people based on sexual orientation or gender identity, which is still legal in most parts of the United States, should be illegal nationwide.

True; it can also keep you safe though if you have suspicions about something not sounding right.

It's acting on a little knowledge that is dangerous, not the amount of knowledge in and of itself. If you have a little knowledge and wish to boost it, just ask them.

There is software you could use to put an effective block on eBay when you're drunk.

Internet harassment. Currently there is nothing you can do if someone in another country continuously harasses you.

Any imported food or raw materials that can be produced locally should be made illegal. That inlcudes non-exotic cars - you want to sell it here then you should build it here end of
