Did a nursing workshop at a hospital. I was the only midwifery student in a class of nursing students. I was also the tallest by at least 4 inches. I had these 2 little indian men keep making jokes about how if i fell onto the ground, the robotic sling would be too small. I then had peeps poking fun at my rocking, loud then soft talking and my allergies. Then i had to face the Market crowds to get food because we have 5 public holiday's in a row so i can't even go to the shop until wednesday. 8O

Now i am home and about to watch something, i was sent while drinking some wine and eating my cheese platter with 10 differant cheeses, 3 dips, some anti pasto and a few various gluten free wafer crackers. :D

I spent most of the day re-enacting an episode of Modern Family.
My father and mother were kept awake most of last night by a chirping smoke detector so as my father is technically challenged and my mother hard of hearing, I had to establish which one of the five needed checking.

I also spent much of the day trying to pass antibiotic tablets down my cat's throat - which has not been a success so far.

And did so in a classy way. :wtg:

I called the IRS and sat on hold for 20 minutes before talking to someone and was not pleased with what they told me, played tennis with my daughter, got a geocaching sticker in the mail for the new minivan (but haven't put it on yet), took my husband to the ER for a sinus infection (his doctor isn't working today), got my husband's medications from the pharmacy, missed Good Friday service at my church, watched a couple episodes of the Glee on Netflix, went grocery shopping for Sunday's dinner and made beef & broccoli stir fry for tonight's dinner. I'll probably go play Boggle with my daughter in a few. We've gotten into the habit of playing Boggle every night. It's really boosted her vocabulary and spelling.

Went grocery shopping with my mom. I was happy that I had a coupon for my cat's favourite crunchy food; it only cost 49 cents! Oh yeah, and we also got to take home some tamales that a customer gave my dad (we were shopping at the store he works at). They are absolutely delicious!

I had a rather busy day... klonopin helps. Heh.

I took two of my children to visit my aunt who is loosing her house... ran her to the store, got her some cigarettes, sat and enjoyed her company for a bit. I can home, decompressed just long enough to make it to the bank so I could get easter 'supplies' for the children. I say supplies because they are teens and want things like nose rings and wax for dreadlocks over candy. I also died my hair and picked up a new nose ring for myself as well. Now I am waiting for pizza because I seem unable to do much at the moment beyond play on the 'puter. But I am pleased that I did not panic, cry, or run out of any stores today. My husband went with me though and that always helps. So yay. Productive day.

Found out my academic career may be over after only 1 semester due to lack of funding.

I sold my engagement ring for the gold and diamond so I could get my kids exactly what I wanted to get them for Easter. I'm very happy about it. I don't wear it. I wear my wedding ring. It was just sitting in my jewelry box and would never be worn again. The looks on my kids' faces are worth way more. :D

Enjoyed the sunshine for a while, and managed to keep some thoughts at the back of my mind for a short period.

I have been putting my stepson's hair into dreadlocks... not even close to being done yet... I have been checking in on this site and playing silly games during break times. That boy has some crazy long hair...
