Chocolate or vanilla ice cream?

As for me, I could go either way.

I wonder if someone going into Baskin Robbins and looks at the choice of 39 flavors but then orders vanilla gets funny looks. I wonder how common that is.

I love vanilla and I've always hated chocolate ice-cream (although I love chocolate in its true form). Vanilla all the way!!

As to whether or not I'm boring, well I guess I can't objectively know that but I get called "weird" or "interesting" a lot. I'm definitely not shy, reserved, or Christian. So much for your theory OP.

A little about me (as requested):

I'm a singer/actor/artist/writer/university student/Asperger's advocate/model-on-request. I love sugar highs, books, high quality pianos (I write music for voice and piano), stuff you can find in the street then stick onto canvas's with superglue, running, academia, bright colours, people and their crazy crazy cultures, musical theatre, avant garde, and knee high boots.

If I could pick any flavour of ice-cream though (not just vanilla or chocolate) I'd probably go for pear, lychee, rose petal, or kiwi fruit. Or possibly vanilla honeycomb if I was in the mood.

I agree. Tip Top (The main NZ brand) is extremely bland.

Proper vanilla bean flavour is delicious though.

I have never cared for chocolate. I remember having a chocolate rabbit in the freezer when I was a kid for an entire year. I didn't get one the next year.

So, vanilla. I don't see how vanilla is more bland than chocolate though. I think chocolate ice cream is pretty bland. So your theory doesn't make any sense to me.

Edit: Oh, about me. I suppose I am "bland" to most people who think partying and socializing is good fun. But I am not conservative, white, straight, religious, or mainstream in my interests.

I used to prefer chocolate way back when I was 5 but I think that was just me trying to be like my sister. Now I love me some vanilla. It's really delicious when it's kind of a light yellow color. Like at Disneyland there's an ice cream shop off to the side kind of hidden and their vanilla is sooo good. Vanilla also tastes great with like caramel, whipped cream, marshmallow topping, everything. Man I wish there was a drooling emoticon right now.

I don't think your theory is right though. I'm not a Christian girl worrying about my grades and stuff. In fact I tend to blow off homework completely and go play games or something.

The original question is interesting, but this sort of poll (in my opinion) can not be an effective way to learn the answer to the question of ice cream flavor preference as an indicator of blandness of personality. If anyone stated that they liked vanilla and had a bland personality, I think that would only indicate a low self image, not if they have a bland personality.

On the other hand, we might be able to judge them (to some extent) through their posts. For example, based on this post, one might conclude that those who like vanilla (me) are prone to turn a fun thread into something to over analyze. Bland? I'll let you judge. You may have to read almost 1000 posts and maybe not even then.
