Do you interpret written words as harsh?

I don't, but people have interpreted my written words as harsh in certain debates. I would assume that "harsh" means "intimidating" or "hostile", when that's never the case when I'm discussing an issue. I simply feel that facts and logic are much more important that sugar coating something so someone feels emotionally safe or neutral.
