I once went to the emergency room after being mauled by a feral kitten.

My husband and I saw an injured grey squirrel by the roadside. It was walking, but dragging it's hind legs. He picked it up, by the scruff of it's neck and it bit him. I took it off him and it bit me and held on for ages. How stupid? They use those jaws for cracking nuts open. Next stop - casualty dept at the hospital for tetanus jabs. I was also bitten by a fluffy little toy poodle when I was 10 and needed butterfly stitches.

Crazy ducks once at MSU. They were all in a lake and I went to eat lunch with a friend on the benches. The ducks swarmed at us and one nipped my pant leg.

and

A sea scallop in a touch-pool at an aquarium. A girl was holding it and I I went to touch it and it closed - squirting her and my finger almost got nipped and she dropped it. Then the scallop 'clapped' (open-closed) its way to bury itself in the sand.

This doesn't count since I was not bit (strangely).

But there was a black widow egg hatching and thousands of babys going in all directions over a small area of web. My cousins used a butterfly net to catch them all...

I turned around - and apparently one of them found it wise to put it over my head. Baby spiders crawling all over me for about a half hour.

Besides that - spider in the dirt at a nuclear plant ... and a bunch of mosquitoes. And once a very vicious poodle who couldn't get his mouth around my calve.

I was bitten by a gerbil at the age of 6. I was sticking my finger in its cage, wondering what would happen.

I tried that too, receiving the same result

I was feeding grass to a miniature horse once and it chomped down pretty hard on my fingers. Fortunately they are all still intact.

Hmm seems a lot of animals have bitten me, now that I'm thinking about it! I guess the weirdest would be a turtle, a possum, and a few snakes.
