there's this new invention called spell check. "Check" it out. Or have your teachers do a better job at holding your attention.

there's no excuse for bad spelling especially with the spell check. The red squiggly line under some words should be an indicator.

Seriously, talk to your teachers. You better not graduate...

Wow-I truly didn't realize how much of a jerk you are. Thanks for pointing that out to me though; now I will know for the future!
Hm? Were did spelling come into this? And i never said i had aspergers i said autism. And honestly you can not tell what i am like without knowing me.

It is not being a jerk to point out the obvious. Lying to make someone feel so good that they are unprepared for the expectations of real world people is first-class jerkiness.

Better to know where improvement is needed than to go through life believing that everything you do is perfect.

If you are so uptight, I would assume you would want perfect grammar too. Maybe your diploma should be revoked since you clearly are not perfect.

Here is a link to the ieSpell website for a FREE download.

Just install it into your browser and use it before hitting the "Submit" button.

I have no idea why he thought spelling was the important part of your post. You are correct: he is a bully. I pity the child who has to live with that everyday!

It is not so much perfection that we expect in others as it is adequacy!

There are ways to point out spelling without being a nasty jerk and resorting to calling people stupid. Making people feel inferior for something they may have no control over is also STUPID. Of course, maybe he has no control over being a jerk either, but then, I don`t think it is possible to make someone like that feel inferior anyway.

Also, I don`t think spelling is a huge issue here. There are more important things to focus on than someone`s capacity to spell. If you do not like their spelling or grammar, then don`t finish reading their post. It is just that simple.

It's the title of the thread. Had no choice but to read it.

You did have a choice in how to respond, and you chose the STUPID path (ironic) of bullying and belittling a person much younger than yourself. Congratulations, you should feel really proud of yourself!

True, but I'm too honest to resort to those methods.

No one can be made to feel anything without their cooperation.

... and if a person wants to be taken seriously in a written venue such as a website forum, then spelling goes a long way toward meeting that goal.

I apologize for being a jerk.

Now, who else needs help installing and running an on-line spelling checker?

Even with phonetic spelling and no punctuation, I easily understood the OP's message. I’d call that adequate.

If you didn’t understand it… well, maybe you need to look inward.

This isn’t about adequate communication skills. It’s about being an internet douchebag.

How broken and pathetic must one be to feel compelled to bully a child on the internet?

Your mothers must be proud.

I'm an anon, so obviously I am a huge douchebag, but I know when it would be best to keep my mouth shut.

You can be honest without being a jerk.

That is not true. I have been bullied my entire life by nasty people who hated me for one reason or another. I grew to HATE myself, and continue to hate myself to this day. They played a large role in showing me how unworthy I am. Maybe it is all my fault, but as a general rule, I blame the bullies not the victims.

Thank you. I really don't think this is a sincere apology anyway, but actually, I never called you a jerk. I was referring to the other person.

Apparently, you'll settle for less than "adequate".

Now it's about hypocrisy - a pot calling the kettles 'black'.

I already apologized once, and I'm not going to do it again. Besides, it's not like he was beat up for his lunch money.

Mine is, especially since it's my writing skills that are partially responsible for my wealth
