I also feel bad for people with mental illnesses. When someone admits that they have a mental illness; lots of people get scared because they assume that person is potentially dangerous. They also consider the person unfit for a relationship & don't even want to be their friend. The reality is that one of the worst problems people with mental issues have is the stigma of having a disorder. Most who are dangerous are because they were afraid to get help due to not wanting to face the stigma of having something or they got fed-up with being bullied & things due to their issues. If people with mental illnesses were more accepted; their illnesses wouldn't be nearly as bad. Not having support & friends & being shunned by others makes their things a lot harder to deal with. Most all people have some form of mental issues & the people who are not aware of their problems are usually a lot worse than people who are.

Also the pills associated with schizophrenia or other mental illnesses can be far horrible. It can shut down the brain and make the person a vegetable. In the tv shows you hear why they don't want to take pills.

How about smokers. Clearly, it is a health hazard and a poor lifestyle choice to make. But, really what business is it of others if someone wants to damage themselves in that way. If you can still find a smoking area with a business, it is usually out by the dumpsters or a dank alleyway. Can you imagine if somebody that ate fattening foods or drank alcohol were forced to do the same. Yes, there are questions of air quality and allergies to be concerned about, but people seem to ignore that their oversized SUV and restaurant kitchens pouring out huge amounts of hazardous particulates when they are out, and reserve their icy stares for some dude feeding his nicotine habit.


My runnerup would be terrorists. One person's terrorist is another person's champion. Sure most of the middle eastern terrorist groups seem batshit crazy, but I always think that the Brits probably could have said the same thing about the founding fathers in America.

The terrorists are the ones who believe in their cause. They also take everything out of context. Finally they are much like Kamikaze pilots. They totally believe what they are doing is right.

Yes, they truly believe in their cause....but they don't believe in the basic concept that killing is a bad thing. If they had a mental condition hat impaired their understanding...maybe, but they don't. They are just plain evil. Believing in a cause is fine but there is right ways and wrong ways to get a point across. There are stupid ways, crazy ways, and totally homicidal and stupid ways. Also, they take innocent lives. I'm not saying that people in the military aren't innocent (because idk) but at least they knew what they were getting into when they went to war. Imagine having your life being stolen away from you with no chance to repent, no chance to say goodbyes, no chance to have a final last wish...just BANG and their lives are gone. That is pure evil there and while it may be passed off as "believing in a cause" the people who truly believe in a cause know that it will happen one way or another. They may try to aid the cause in a positive way, or maybe in a stupid way but very few people go to the extreme of taking innocent lives to prove a point and further an idea.

My two cents:

I often sympathize with a lot of peoples which have splinters forming terrorist groups. To clarify, I do not and never will sympathize with terrorism. Palestinians for instance, I believe got the short end of the stick, a lot of Afghan's likewise.

But there is a big difference between oppressed people, and oppressed people killing innocents.

Crazy in the sense that their ideas and beliefs are fervent enough for them to kill themselves to fight for their cause. Some of them believe the West and its way of life to be evil and we are the ones eroding their basic values and beliefs.
