Sigh.

Steve Irwin.

I very, very, very rarely find any public personality attractive, but I guess I have a weakness for guys who don't comb their hair, and who jump into crocodile-infested waters with their boots on.

No, that one's a miss for me, preferring the purer taste (no vegetables) of marmite.

Other things I like about Australia:

Melbourne, for a decent climate, and for having a very nice set of trams for its central public transport.

And the superb boulder opal I have on my right hand as I type.
It's a Queensland stone, but I bought it in Coober Pedy

I love opals...my "birth stone"....wish I had one with lots of "fire" in it ...they seem really magical to me...(the cheaper ones are boring)...Do most opals come from Australia...anyone know what they are made of or how made....?

Yeah, I used to think he was just a show pony, but in fact he is very compassionate about what he does. Makes me wonder who he cares for more: humans or crocodiles.

Vegemite is disgusting! Yuck. I haven't eaten it since I found the vegemite on one of my sandwiches had been invaded by ants. Monkey Mia is booooring. There's some great beaches up there, though. I personally love the AFL. That's what I like most about Australia. AFL just rocks.

What are you talking about, vegemite is delicious.

I like the following Australian thingies...

Tim Tams
the Great Barrier Reef
My cousins Simon and Rumal
The way they play cricket in floppy green hats
The way the stars are different there. (the stars in the sky, that is.)
Errol Flyn
Russell Crowe's butt
the way my Aunt Amalie's voice sounded when she read to us at night.
the way every Australian I've met sings at the drop of a hat, and sings reasonably well, too!
