I haven't watched this video ( I may do at some stage) but I just want to say that from the picture it looks like you're holding a MIG (GMAW) welding torch. Doubt you are though

Learning basic MIG isn't hard at all really. And it's a good skill. You could easily teach yourself really, and buy a cheap setup.
