Six hard-boiled eggs in the microwave. No one ever told me that you first have to poke a little hole in one end to let the steam pressure out...

Trying to make brownies from some cocoa I found in the cupboard. I didn't put enough sugar or milk or whatever. They were so bad. I joke about that if you had the choice between those brownies or a cigarette butt, you would have trouble deciding.

I tried to cook an egg in the microwave one time when I was 16. It blew up.

I caught top ramen on fire once.
Other than that, no disasters.

1. (This wasnt my fault! I swear!) Once when I was baking bread I had the stone I was cooking on crack (or explod or something). I didn't hear it crack and it must have cracked like within a minute or two of me putting the bread in there because the dough slipped through the cracks in the stone and baked around all the metal parts of the oven racks.

2. Tuesday night was a disaster. I hadn't actually cooked in a few months but decided I would cook dinner for my dad and I. The trout itself came out fine though I managed to catch the pan on fire, under cook the rice and create lemon-butter sauce that tasted like.... :eew: It completely ruined the fish!

I was just getting back from visitation from my dad, and I was starving (he forgot to feed us). I forgot to put water in it.

Its kool i was actually cracking up after i fell off the chair because i thought to myself this is something out of a national lampoon movie :D . Ive been there were the new recipe i tried out ended up being total disaster, i forget what it was exactly all i know is it almost made me barf from tasting it, when it was rated 5 stars! i wondered if the creator of the recipe just didnt rate it 5 stars a 100 times because it was awful :? . I love salmon so much and im surprised that it didnt turn out too well? cookings funny like that though ive noticed, always expect the unexpected :)

I like allrecipes.com. And yes, a lot of people exagerate with the stars, but I only try recipes that I think will work (forget about the stars). My husband says I have a sixth sense because reading the recipe I can picture in my head how its gonna taste. I think its just experience. Anyway, it still bites me what in the world went wrong with that salmon...

Scariest was likely the oil in my wok catching fire and having a wall of flame lap against the ceiling as I quickly grabbed it and suffocated it.
I once made someone a birthday cake using one of those processed mixes that are suppose to be simple to do, except I forgot to add the water to the mix and ended up with a pancake as the batter failed to rise.
I made calzones from scratch and made more dough than I needed. I had nearly a loaf size with a tiny amount of ingredients stuck in the center.
I experiment a good bit and sometimes I go a little too far with spices especially since I am only vaguely aware of what goes with what.

Those sound like things I would do.

My first attempt at making eclairs was a complete failure. They ended up looking like little sea monsters full of foam.
