She could get into trouble techinically for her behaviour since you have too try and be nice too everyone in the work place.


Your description of the incident was that she looked visibly happier when looking at your friend than when looking at you. What could you really say to Human Resources? "She obviously enjoyed looking at him more". Having your eyes light up when you see one person but not light up when you see another isn't rude (although it will inspire jealousy if one wanted to be the object of lit-up eyes) and there is absolutely no way she would get in trouble for it.

In my opinion, she is unprofessional unless you are talking about stuff that isn't work related. If you are, then you are being unprofessional.
