People do it for different reasons.. alot of them house banned WP members, there was one where WP or WrongPlanet was on the swear filter. Some just want the whole moderator feeling.. I think the biggest thing is a commune for the regulars? I'm sure there's plenty of them out there.. the whole clique factor, keep out the others. I'm not sure.

I just stick to one forum myself.

Yeah.. way back when there was another AS website, and it basically consisted of all the members that got banned from here.
