Walk into an office of a high profile business and find one person with stretched ears. Go on.

Oh, come on. It's more common than you think. Look:

And I must say, that young gentleman's dress is very lovely.

To be honest, I think it's pretty dumb, but I believe that people have the right to do it if that's what they choose.

I would never do it because,

1: it's not me.
2: I am nearing my entrance into the professional world as an engineer. I don't think many employers would approve.

They make me cringe. :/ Why not stretch the nostrils, next, or the eyelids? I'm sure that'd look just as awesome.

They don't scare me, but I tend to think badly of people who do get their ears like that.

i like them, for the most part.

my kid (17 years old) has stretched ears, but not huge as she wants to be professional someday and doesn't want to have surgery to shrink them. EDIT: wow my sentence was garbled o.0

My oldest daughter had 00's for several years and took them out and over about 8 months they went back to normal piercings. No big hole any longer. They do go back, even though it's said they don't.

Maybe it's rather that your daughter has unusually stretchy skin...? Sounds like it, to me. The stretchiness of skin is definitely not the same for everyone.

I think smaller ones look ok, but anything bigger than say, 1 inch in diameter and I'm slightly creeped out.

I don't understand the things that young people do to their bodies these days. I don't understand the things that young NTs do these days, anyways.

Not everyone wants an office job with a high-profile business. My piercings have never kept me out of the jobs that I wanted.

Mine were up to 00 for a while as well, they were pretty uncomfortable (had to be very careful how I rested my head on things) so I let them shrink. They're 8 gauge now (bigger than the average hole, but not too noticeable). I like the look of them but, obviously, don't like the feel of them.

I think most of us who have/had them already realize that they are not to most people's taste.
