Yeah, that was a little confusing. Maybe learning how to write a semantically correct sentence would help?

On the contrary, I think more condescending remarks from people who have a better handle on this learned skill are what the doctor ordered!

Don't underestimate the power of speaking and writing well. People are a lot less likely to outright dismiss something they personally find ridiculous when it's presented in an intelligent manner.

I thought y'all were just being sarcastic at first. You really couldn't tell what the OP meant? :?

This is a site for people with neurological disorders. I should think one would find a bit more understanding when it comes to difficulty in communication as we all have them to a degree.

As for the OP's actual question... I *really really* wanted a great deal many things at your age that I didn't get for various reasons. Now that I'm an adult, I find some I still want (and plan to get) while others I am very glad I never got. Basically, I think it's a good idea to hold off until you're at least 18 before you do any body modification. Sit on it for a couple of years. It won't guarantee you'll love it once you do get it (if you decide you still want it) but at least you'll know it wasn't just a passing fancy.

Regarding your parents... what is their objection? Have you stopped and listened to their reasoning?

Agreed. I would additionally assert that people are much more likely to seriously consider well-intentioned advice when it's presented respectfully. Just sayin'
