Yeppers, I drive everyday. I used to have an '88 Silverado. Flat black with a rebored 350. Old school point-contact distributer. A beautifully masculine machine. I drive a '92 cherry red Firebird now.

Next... look up your local SCCA... they are super safe and even aspergers friendly without knowing it. It's sort of like just the right level of social interaction, and always car (special interest) focused. You don't have to be the most competitively successful person to be a part of the crowd. In fact, there are people who are much more NT than I that are much slower than I am... who still are way more popular in the club... luckily for me, I would rather they be the popular ones

Oh, I know of SCCA, we also got CART here in CT, just my Supra's motor's been dead for like a year. It's finding the time, money, and random spurts of motivation to get it working. That, and my other Supra I had like that was just in general a huge beater that leaked oil and stuff.

Supras are sweet, though.

Bought in October. A 2012 Sentra. Got my license around 19, never really had a need/want to drive. But I've done 9000 miles since October...

I have never really owned a car...drove one briefly..and reluctantly... that belonged to my late grandmother ( an early 70's Chevelle). I didn't consider it mine, despite some family members' insistence. Makes me think, what if my AS was known back then..would they have reacted the same to my driving anxiety. This could apply to several other areas too.
I've kept my license through the years..the current one is past expiration..so probably should be renewed in the not too distant future.

I got a license about 4 months before I turned 17. I crashed into a car and totaled it a month and a half later. My van was practically fine.

I was blinded by the sun and didn't slow down, I hadn't been told before to slow to a stop if that happens, so I didn't think of it.

I have a full license and a car. It's a Fiat Bravo from the year 2000 and it's a lovely icy blue colour.

I got my license a few months ago when I was 19 after over a year of having regular lessons. I hate driving though, too stressful, but I like my car.

I've owned a total of 6 cars since I got licence ,I have more money ATM because I dont have car now,they can cost too much to run.I want to save some more money before I buy another car or i might buy one sooner when I get sick of using public transport.Have to catch 2 trains to work every day now and 1 bus then 1 train home No one I work with lives in my area so i cant get lift to/from work either

I love autocross and am a regular attendee at my local events! repairs are a pain in the neck... I have some that I need to do this weekend and I really don't want to because I have to go get parts and I don't want to get parts but I need to do it too soon to order online and don't trust online in case they ship me the wrong parts.



Driving is fun! 9000 miles is either lots of road trips, or a pretty hefty commute.

one of my bosses has a Sentra and is a big fan of them. from the passenger side, it was a pretty comfy car the times I've gotten a ride from him.

I want to get a Mini Cooper. But not those new models that are coming out, that aren't really all that 'mini'. I want maybe an '03 version. Green would be sweet!

I don't really like the car much, it drives and is acceptable. I purchased it because I got a good deal since I made a poor choice in my last vehicle and had 20% interest (intentional), so I took a bit of cash and talked to a friend to flip everything and get me 2.9% interest on a new vehicle. Simply a financial decision....

When I purchased my previous car it was with my first weeks pay in my hand, no work history for years, recently homeless, and broke with no down payment. So I think I did my best considering the circumstances but I hope my next car is actually something I'll enjoy. But I think fuel economy will always win over fun factor...



I was driving 35 miles one way to work, but it also tends to be that when I go somewhere - its farther than most people think to go.

I think they've made a few different models, one looks like the mini but is larger. They still have the normal mini I believe? Either way buying used sounds like a good decision.

Import a antique Mini, those are the smallest, and they'll likely be cheaper than a newer BMW Mini.

Just you'll be more likely to die in a crash with one of those compared to the new BMW one. But hey, price for coolness, no?

simply to have that much $$$$$ in the first place is a real accomplishment. i guess money says hello to a lucky few, but goodbye to everybody else. anyways, the new sentras have a renault-designed suspension that is very absorbent over rough roads, IOW they soak up the road bumps so you don't feel them much. i value ride quality/smoothness over broken pavement, over every other car quality.

Mines pretty stiff on bumps. You must be talking about the 2013 model. I'm mostly on the freeway and solid pavement so bumps don't matter. Last car I had was a 06 Malibu. That things suspension was pretty nice, I could run over wash board and only get a few thumps.

I've owned a 92 ford probe, 95 maxima, 89 Dakota, 06 Malibu I got in 07 with 32k miles, and the sentra with like 12 miles on it.
