I'll have one with you. 8)

Count me in! (Even though I'm American and don't know what a swally is)

I would also like to be neighbors with KyletheGhost, Taupey and CockneyRebel.

And I would like to be neighbors with you, Alex! :D

Also CockneyRebel and Taupey are welcome!

A 'swally' is a Scottish word, short for swallow, which is an idiomatic expression meaning an alcoholic drink.

You may have to count me out this evening though, ladies, as I have been on the 8.2% Herefordshire cider. ;)

Can you not get a bottle of McEwan's Champion (7.3%; 500ml) where you live? Very strong, sweet and cheap too, if you get the offers at the right time. ;)

Unless someone wants to take me in I'll be living in a cardboard box covered in barbed wire, assuming that works, right outside some food shop.

Can't find anything McEwan's where I live. I ask people at different liquor stores from time to time and they always just give me this blank expression that I interpret to mean, "huh?" :? When I was in Florida, I bought the stuff practically every weekend.

I thought you were in the UK. If you were, then it would be very, very easy to come across as all the major supermarkets sell McEwan's Champion. It's very sweet, strong stuff, but it's cheap.

If you're in Yankland, I can understand that being a bit of a problem.

Do you want for Scotch ale - this is a recognised beer style - in general though? Depending on where you live, I can fix you up with some.

I'm in midwest America (Ohio) - land of boring brews. I do like Scotch ales, though. :D Are you talking about local shops that sell it, or mail-order/internet type sources?

Have you tried RateBeer to see if there are breweries in your state that do Scotch ales?

I'll look into it before I make my next venture out.
Actually, as far as I've gotten so far is looking around the different liquor stores once in a while, and it doesn't help that I'm hesitant to try beers I know nothing about (I tried McEwans at a friend's house because he assured me it was good). Most of the stuff I've tried at random just wasn't very good, with the exception of a few microbrews. I didn't even think to look online.
