I spend 15 hours a day on the computer. It's been that way for YEARS.

I find that posting can be habitual, responding to certain topics such as help questions or debate (rather than topics not requiring/obligeing to respond) can contribute to being many of those posts, All in all, they can soon mount up !

Dear Mithos, sounds to me like you are very self-aware, and have found ways to deal with your unusual energy level. Focusing on Internet chats instead of behavior (I rather hate that term) that people can misunderstand and be annoyed by just shows that you are thinking of others' potential feelings as well as your own needs. And you get to meet some people who can understand you, and you get to be supportive of people who need that same understanding.
As usual, I'm rambling, but that's what I DO!

I'd say 15 hours on the computer is a bit excessive, unless you're doing it for a living/school/ect.

But 80 posts a day isn't too bad. Go one day without posting, and the count will go down drastically.

I suppose 80 a day could be a sign of someone getting a bit addicted to the forum. And I would say, it could be a bad thing if they feel it is negatively affecting them.

But if you feel that it is good for your mind, then why the hell not?!

I guess the trick will be to find someone who'll pay you a wage for what you enjoy doing.

Whenever people join they have a lot of questions, so I would think that would go down in the next couple days

Possibly, so I tend to agree, like a novelty, somethings wear off, or some people need another distraction to "overwhelm" them away.

Though, "addictive nature" someone said; well, in this case; making lots of posts on a forum is a trait of autism or/& aspergers ?
I myself have spent nearly allday on this forum, reading & contributing, If I log out, I'll be eager to read updates, its hard to make that break, I've been meaning to complete a model I'd started, I haven't touched it today.

I think I'm currently on 13 post since I became a member yesterday, I think thats maybe average.

That puts my 1.04 posts per day to shame.

I've learned the hard way that it can be unhealthy, if I don't make time for exercise and chores.

I am impressed with people that can make 80 posts daily. I am not sure if I have that much to say without going into something dreary or boring the living daylights out of people with something too technical or abstruse. I find that I really don't have anything to say when it comes right down to it.

Yes. You're going to have to be euthanized now. It's for your own good. :P
