I don't mind, but don't feel any close ties to it either. It is large enough where you can still get lost and does have some natural beauty.

The people seem to be getting less and less free and open-minded however. I don't know if it's from the post 9-11 era or because of the feeling that people are plugged in always because of the explosion of social technology, but it seems like people are missing the big picture of what this country was supposed to stand for. With all the laws and law enforcers protecting our freedoms and a society driven by pop culture and gossip, it seems like the country has lost its soul. Or maybe I just haven't adapted.

It's incredibly messed up, but I like it. I have no idea why, seeing as how many problems there are with it, but I actually enjoy American culture and could never imagine living anywhere else. Plus there's an awesome variety of natural beauty's that I can explore without having to learn another language or get a passport.

I like it in Canada. There's more freedom here than there is in many countries in the world. I also enjoy seeing the odd snowfall in the winter and the mountains in the summer. Canada also has a pretty cool flag. 8)

I like the ideas that my country was founded on.

I do not like where it is today, and where it is headed.

About the place I currently live: I don't really like it here. It has to do with the circumstances of why I came here and also the general culture here I had trouble integrating in. They have a good lifestyle here though and fairly good medical / legal / political / educational systems although they still have their problems.

About my two countries of origin: I miss both of them, I still love both of them. There are some really screwed up things going on in both, but there are things there that you cannot find anywhere else. I would happily go back home to either if I had the money to.

I am a patriotic Kiwi, as you can tell from my coffee cup.

There are a lot of frustrating things about New Zealand. It's parochial and a bit old-fashioned, and it has a severe case of Tall Poppy Syndrome (sneering at ambition). But these are the flip sides of the positive aspects of New Zealand - it is egalitarian and unpretentious. I prefer a culture where everyone "knows their place" to a culture where people have lost their sense of collective identity.

On the whole, yeah I do. It has some pretty major flaws, but I count myself lucky to have been born here.

Gotta love a country founded on the premise of "I don't gotta do what you say, you're not the boss of me." Been steadily losing that anti-authoritarian attitude, but you still catch glimpses of it every now and again.

If you look past the politics, it's OK.

Sometimes I enjoy being in America but I would rather move to Canada preferably Vancouver B.C. Or live in Tokyo sure I might get stared at alot and somewhat treated like an outsider but not as much as at home my personalities tend to intermingle with most of the kinds of people from Japan with the exception of talking to myself lol.

I guess I like where I am. It has good things and bad things but doesn't everywhere?
