The conventional answer is to cut a whole in the table and escape, but this is boring.

Maybe a part of the wall is an oak table instead of reinforced steel. Smash it down like it was a door.

The table being part of the wall or the Garlicism?

I'm starting to think she said that joke to make you keep guessing. Like this good old joke:

How do you keep an idiot busy? 4.

Perhaps it's one of those Zen ones...I got stuck on one of these once, how does someone get out of a room etc. the answer was, apparently, 'you're already out' -groan!

You convert to Garlicism, pray to the table, it levitates through the roof, and you're free ! !!

(Really now, that was too easy.)

Ok, so your in a Reinforced Steel room which has no conventional means of exit, so no doors, windows, holes, vents, or gaps of any kind, and all you have is a hard oak table, which can help you get out. But how do you get out? I've tried taking it apart and two halves make a hole, that failed. I tried using it as a battering ram and that failed. Any ideas?

((I'm not entirely sure how you got in but...))
So we don't have any doors.
Or windows
Or holes
We do however have a hard oak table
But we know you can't
A) Take it apart
OR
B) Use it as a battering ram (It would be the wrong shape anyway))
However, supposing there is a bump somewhere from which you can get up to the ceiling BUT its too high to reach.
Now, since this is HARD OAK which is a STURDY wood, it COULD support your weight so you climb up onto the table to reach the ceiling where you vigoursly knock (or tap in morse code to somebody) on it.
Now, suppose there also happens to be builders doing matience work on the roof above you.
They could possibly do something with the roof and get you out from there?
