There's some idiot song that has the chorus "Don't cry out loud..."

I'd be in the grocery store, and hear it on the Muzak, and want to shout 'FER GOD'S SAKE CRY OUT LOUD ALREADY ! !!'

One that used to drive me nuts when it first came out (drove me nuts due to it being in near-constant rotation on the local radio station) was Sarah McLachlans 'Building a Mystery'.
Now, I looooove Sarah M. Gorgeous voice.
But, man, if she doesn't get that damn mystery done n' BUILT already, I'm gonna have to start bustin' some ass.

Building A Mystery-listened to it on youtube. it sounds like a song you'd hear on a radio station here, that plays the same songs over and over again. most of the songs either have a saxophone in it, or has limited lyrics in the song. i don't hate the song now but, i'm sure if i listened to it three more times, then i'd hate it. that radio station has ruined so many good songs for me...which is why i don't listen to it anymore.

there's this song with the lyrics "...i tiptoed past the i don't the words here door." "and i said i love you." it's so horribly painful to listen to. i can't seem to find the name of the song anywhere.

Near-any rap song. Talk about unorganised. My friend came up with the perfect phrase to describe it: "Rap starts with a silent 'C'."

I'd like to think I'm pretty tolerant about music, but dance music in general makes me want to cry. I need lyrics with my songs, not just thumping bass.

And "dance remixes" of previously great songs with lyrics are equally awful, mostly because they tend to focus on one particular line and then repeat it over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, until your brain has turned to a sticky mush.

Post-2000 pop music is also a good candidate for Evil Incarnate, because it's all pretty identikit :(
