tourism australia never aired this for some reason...

Yeah, it's a parody of those Aussie tourist ads (we get them here so we're familiar with them), but it was actually made by a New Zealand consumer affairs show called Fair Go. They do goofy sketches like that every now and then, and I guess it goes along with the idea that they are dedicated to exposing the truth behind overly-positive advertising.

VMS took care of the place I live now.

Man, I really want to visit New York someday. Even though the things being advertised in the song (big crowds and cut-throat competition) are actually things that I hate. It just seems so big and pretty. A city so impressive that a superhero can spend his entire career protecting it!

Not my town, but it's very close to me. Definitely looks like the place to be, no? Good place to raise a family and stuff.

Not exactly my location, but somewhat close.

I don't really want to post a tourism video for New Orleans because they don't define the city too well. New Orleans is not just a party city or Mardi Gras 24/7. To understand the city, one should come to the city. Avoid indulging in the mess that is Bourbon Street and come see the Rebirth Brass Band on Tuesday at the Maple Leaf or take a stroll in Audubon Park. Embrace the local culture and understand why we feel the great importance in defending New Orleans through hell or high water. Make your way down to parkway bakery, grab an abita, and relax: You're in one of the greatest cities in the world.

Not really, a bland water crossing , and a strange and run down looking building on water. What else has it to offer ? (little else if I where to believe the vid)


Sydney is like 80's party city frequented by the white shoe brigade, they "had a good time" they moved on * and let the place go in to disrepair, yet hardly anybody notices.


Sydney I automatically think austerican , for &*(^s sake it doesn't even have a subway system . Lausanne (Switzerland ) with 1/50 the population has one admittedly it is rather small. (we can thank the Greens for that one)

Don't go to Sydney one of the Planet Guides girls (tv show) (the makers of Lonely Planet) guides who I respect was like than she came to the Gold Coast and she looked like she was about to throw up.

Do go to Switzerland though it's like Disney World run by Mormons (I think you said you wanted to go their) but meant in a good way
