Are older people friendlier than younger ones in your area?

Yes. You can still start conversations with older people in a queue at the post office etc. If I tried that with a young person they'd think I was mental.

The same goes for my area as well. I've always found it easier to talk to the older people. I've always had problems with younger people treating me a certain way like I was second class or something.
