So anyways trick question maybe too obvious since I doubt I am the only one who knows the answer but is the following a spider or not?

I certainly find those creepier than spiders...even the venomous spiders.

Gee, thanks. I can't even look at spiders on TV. But there is one kind of spider I'm not afraid of--the leggy, spindly house spiders in my house. I found that giving them names helps me. I've given them old-fashioned names like Henrietta and Edna and Mildred, and even some boys' names like Alvin and Edwin (apologies to any Alvins and Edwins out there who take exception). And I'm trying to not teach my son to be afraid of them, but not to try to pet them or play with them either, as some really can be dangerous.

no way. I don't care the size. Go away! I saw a huge one the other day in our basement and dad killed it. YAY! :P

I would have probably reacted by having a spider funeral. If I don't want to touch a spider and its in my room I just get it in a cup and put it outside since there are probably more bugs for it to eat out there anyways.

But those aren't spiders they're opiliones

Anyways if anyone is intrested I won't copy and paste all the pictures but if you want to see some different types of them go here some of them are pretty weird.

insects, snakes, turtles, frogs, lizards, ugh go away! Why were they invented? I know I know for the birds to eat and snakes take care of the rodent population. But then eagles and other predatory birds can eat the rodents.

Well would you rather have an arachnid in the same room or an insect? probably neither but what if that wasn't an option?

I had to look up arachnid up. lol. Neither? UGH choices choices. I remember a grasshopper that got on my drivers side mirror and I was scared. It was nasty looking and huge. I just opened window when I came to light and touched it a little and it went away. EWWWW! Birds are so much better.

I like birds of prey they are so awesome and I also kind of like scavanger birds like crows and vultures....grasshoppers are kind of creepy though I don't like things that jump at me and that is what they do.

This is one of my favorites and one of mine as well. Jørgen takes some awesome spider pictures.

If you like spiders, you probably already know how to differentiate the males from the females?

I'm not scared of them and I don't mind observing them. I'll pick them up and touch them when I'm drunk but I won't touch them otherwise. I don't scream and run away from them like lots of people do though.
