The only bus I really been on was Greyhound & the worst passenger was the big women who bathed in her perfume. My nose was running nonstop & I got a headache, teary eyes & felt a little sick

I ride the bus all the time. I usually pay with cash, and I can't stand it when people who use cash try to get on the bus first. Or people who don't check to see how much the fare is going to be, or who don't have their money ready. I have my cash ready in my hand, dollar bills flattened and ready for the bus before I have to get on, that way I'm not annoying other people. Or if I have change, I don't try to cram all the quarters in at once, because then the money is just going to get stuck.

I don't understand why people can't be more considerate with having their pets on the bus also. My dog sits on my lap and is very quiet. She doesn't bother the passengers. If your pet is a problem, train them. Yeah it takes work, but it beats annoying the person next to you who is trying to get to an interview and doesn't want hair and dog slobber all over their clothes.

I just try to understand that most people who ride the bus are the bottom of the barrel. There's just no way around it.

Aboriganies (The bad ones)
Bogans (The bad ones)
Scary homeless people with mental handicaps

*All the above are really drunk and aggressive and very scary. Sometimes they get into fights together and it offers entertainment*

I've never rode a bus before (that sounds weird and probably not correct word choice, but it's late and will not search correct form). Truthfully, I'm too scared to ride a bus by myself.

The ones with their teeth. The ones without the rotting car parts and hoarding in their front yards. Most of these ones dont catch the bus because they have hotted up commodores. The other ones dont have a car so they dont need to be sober to drive so are drunk on the bus.

I have come across the term "man sitting". This refers to guys who sit with their legs wide open, and probably their arms and shoulders outstretched too, in order to dominate the person next to them. So if the other person is in the window seat they get squeezed into a very narrow space, and if it's the aisle seat they're precariously perched on the edge.

That's the first type of annoying bus passenger who comes to mind for me. The only other type that really bothers me is anyone who harasses passengers in any way. I kind of feel harassed even if someone (it's always the creepy type who does it anyway) makes conversation with me on the bus. I had to do that last time I was on a bus. This thread could equally apply to trains too, and it feels like more potential harassment might occur on trains than buses. People are free to carry alcohol on them, for starters.

I've gradually come to find even local bus or train transport (at least alone) more difficult and these days I minimise it. I've certainly been put off long distance bus/train travel unless it's necessary, because of experiences travelling the US by train.

I think that bus drivers need to enact their abilities not to let certain people on the bus more often. There are people that just need to 'walk it off'. Even if it takes them eight miles to do so.

Those charming, sophisticated types who are so stoned or drunk they don't know which bus they are on, which direction the bus is going, or which area of the city they are in.
But they usually will not get off the bus when the driver explains that 'this bus does not go there, you need to take the----bus'.

People who have their IPods, on so loud and singing!
People who smack their gum and make bubbles.

I hate it when guys sit with their legs wide open and take up a whole bunch of space, especially when it's in the very back where the long seat is or when they sit right in the middle so they get the whole long seat to themselves.

Bus drivers who kick people off the bus for no reason.

{That happened to me one time; that pissed me off so much I wanted to file a complaint.}

That reminds me of the bus driver that refused to let my son who is LFA and 3 at the time on the bus because he was jumping up and down squeeling in delight.

Also the other bus driver who kicked us off the bus when my LFA son was having a meltdown and screaming and thrashing in my arms and i refused to restrain him in a pram.

Both got complaints to the bus company.

Grumpy bus drivers who act like jerks especially the GO bus drivers here in Ontario or greyhound bus drivers, some of them act like they're Gods. Bus drivers who drive right past a bus stop, especially when the bus only comes once an hour and it's winter. I mean some of them are really nice but I've seen a lot of nasty bus drivers as well.

Bus drivers who let a couple riders cut-up & disrupt the rest of the passengers.
