A question for the English
This is a rather extreme "fry up" but pretty much everything is there:
Also bubble and squeek.
English food that isn't fried? Jellied Eels (though few eat it these days) Shepherd's Pie/Cottage Pie (the difference is the meat: Shepherd's Pie uses lamb and Cottage Pie uses beef), Bangers and mash, Toad in the hole, Sunday roast with Yorkshire Pudding!
Speaking of puddings, we have Sherry trifle, Knickerbocker glory (don't knock it 'till you've tried it [pun intended] as a well-made one tastes amazing!)
Apple Pie (NOT American: the recipe goes back to the 1300s in England), Apple crumble (though apparently this is Irish) and Cream Tea (Scones with raspberry jam and clotted cream, served with a pot of tea). YUM YUM YUM!
Edit: forgot to mention cucumber sandwiches and strawberries and cream.
