Holy cow, even though I haven't seen Death Note yet, even I think that's good.

Thank you! :)
I liked it so much I ran around like that for almost a year. Just the white long sleeve is not very practical for everyday use.

Yes i cosplay mostly because my mates make me. in the last 5 months i have been max from where the wild things are, the queen of hearts from alice in wonderland, catniss everdeen from the hunger games, barbie, an ingen worker from jurassic park. i really want to be amy pond and a stargate employee.

My next cosplay is for the zombie walk where i will be zombifying my barbie outfit.

I've done cosplays of Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach, a random Reaper from The World Ends With You, Minato Arisato from Persona 3, and Shizuo Hewajima from Durarara!.

I always post my cosplay pictures on DeviantArt, here: http://long-live-japan.deviantart.com

I've cosplayed about 3 times in public. First as Kyon from Haruhi Suzumiya, then as Gendo Ikari from Evangelion (I had a genuine Gendo beard, too.), then as the Male version of Haruhi Suzumiya from the Genderbending of Haruhi Suzumiya. Only a few people recognized me. I will usually cosplay if I can afford it, meaning I already have the clothes.

I fashion myself after Mick Avory and wear similar clothes to what he wore in the 60s, but that probably isn't the same thing as cosplaying.

I did something similar for quite a long time with the Japanese singer Gackt - after I found out that we share the same given name and I liked his music he became my special interest at that time.
But, yes, I think it isn't similar to cosplay, mainly for the "play" element in there. To me, it was neither a 'costume' nor 'play' because it was a means to identify myself with him.
