All set. License is renewed and I should get the actual license in 2 weeks or so. Virginia gives out temporary paper licenses instead of issuing the new licenses up front. I don't even know what the picture looks like either so I may be impressed or not when the license comes in the mail. I didn't need to retake any vision tests. My eye doctor didn't charge me at all and filled out the form. I just paid the $32 fee for new license which is good till 2020. I went with someone else who also had to renew. She does wear glasses but her vision isn't too bad. She also said that she could clearly see 8 letters but the other 4 were blurry. It's strange. I'm just glad the license is taken care of now.

Had the same problem with the eye exam. I wear contacts and glasses. I can see 20/20 line. But, when I took the driver's eye exam thru those binoculars, I could see the numbers in front of me ok but the numbers to the right, they were blurry. She told me to try and read the right numbers on the second line. I barely could read them. I don't know why the right set of numbers are hard to read. It happened before years ago but then I could barely make them out on the right side. My wife took the same test and didn't have that problem. I have astigmatism, she doesn't. But, my contacts should correct that if I can read the 20/20 line. Any way, I did pass today barely.
