Here's a few nominations:

CockneyRebel: For being a good friend to me. Also, her love of Routemasters is quite legendary around these parts of the Internet. I hope that you find someone soon who shall accept you for who you are.

SpaceCase: For dealing with the shite she comes up against daily and despite that still be undefeated. I must say that I'm quite honoured to be thought of as like a dad to someone, even though I've never had my end away yet and I'm only two years older than her. I hope you find peace and tolerance soon and that no-one denies you help in your quest.

werbert: His somewhat off-the-wall humour never fails to have me giggling along.

There are a few others but I've forgotten them. I will say that all those I have wanted to commemorate on this thread have been suitably remembered. :)

Thankyou for the compliment. :)

Werberts funny and sexy but even he would not call himself cool. I made a thread about OWA being the coolest. Some saw it as a joke i guess but i think its true. The real reason he is the coolest is rather complex but it goes something like this:

OWA is the poster child of AS. He has very little NT baggage. He does not socialize in
a fashion like 99% here do. He "talks" in code, music and pictures. He does not dwell
on his problems. Some call his actions attention whore like. Thats BS! Maybe some people with a mild case of AS who pass for NT who write long complex deep meaning
post view a pure breed aspie like OWA as strange but OWA is not here to give NT
wannbees backrubbs. Oh when I say NT wannabes I know allmost nobody addmitts that to themselves here, but they live and correct others here as if they do strive more for NT-ness that AS rights if they know it or not. I think OWA could be happy if
he was USB port connecting a computer to a printer and cares less about the details
of NT living.

I think the following are cool:

Hale_bopp - her honesty and willingness to contribute to many threads are cool
Jman - also for the honesty side and because he's a friend
alex - for co-founding WP and being a pal
Tim_Tex
Werbert - both Tim_Tex and Werbert do some very good and funny posts
MrMark - for his interesting posts
DivaD - not spoken to you in a while dude.
KBABZ - I have noted the importance of getting your name right
CockneyRebel - for her fascination for Routemasters and her appreciation for British stuff

Hmmm make way for all the popular frequent posters getting their asses kissed again.

I read lots of posts but rarely actually make posts... as far as anyone standing out as particularly cool... no one. There are plenty of decent people here, and I have read plenty of posts that make their authors deserve respect, but I don't know anyone enough to say "yeh... they are cool".

Maybe I need to read more.

And by the way... yes, I am in a pissed off mood right now, so maybe at another time of the day my answer would be different, or being new to the site and a relative "nobody" I may not have answered at all.

I don't know if I could say who's the coolest around here; the long-time users each have their own legends and myths, which has a real impact on what people think when they first join. On the other hand, one never knows what he'll find when a new user joins, so it's always exciting when new people enter into the group.

That said, the only person I think is totally uncool is that CeallachSolomon fella. He's a real creep.

They called me creep once.

We must find da coolest aspie u know?
But there is only one problem.
There is 7853 users.
among them there is let us say 20% non-aspies.
We dont know everybody so each member has to post a cool message.
then everybody votes on 1 person and the man/woman girl/boy
with the most votes are the coolest!
Its REALLY complicated but its clearing things up.
like after a cloudy rainfall and u feel a fresh feeling of ???????....

To this, I have but one response:

Beneath the dry sun he stands,
Sword in hand, he sets forth once more.
Bloodstained metal flashes in the brilliant light
the mark of many battles won.
His goal is a secret, his past is tarnished by lies.
Yet on he fights, to free his people from their bonds
as was the mission he received from on high.
Ceallach is his name, or so he claims,
and wielding the sword of a once-great king,
he fights for freedom, justice, and right.

So on, on he ventures
beyond all hope of return
for he may do naught else.
Would you pity this soul
So far from his home?
Or rather, would you envy him
This hero of man?
