There've been a couple of surprises in this thread ... I'll just say that I never expected some of you to say anything nice about me.
While I'm not going to go all "Sally Field" on you, I will say that it's nice to know that you admire me ... you know who you are.
I do disagree with you on a number of things but not absolutely. There are some things that you're correct upon but only to a certain extent. On the other hand, it doesn't mean that you're my sworn enemy who I want to fight. I don't see you as my enemy but you have standards that I do believe need to be challenged, questioned, and examined.
I do admire that you were able to go into the military, pass the psych tests. and complete basic training. I do admire you were able to fight in actual combat which is high stress and you have to be able to think on your feet. You would have to be able to come up with solutions instantly. I believe you are telling the truth and I choose to believe it unless proven otherwise. You're innocent until proven guilty in my mind.
How were you able to do all of this? This is a literal question. It is so amazing to me. Clay Adams was able to serve and command a squad as well. How were you guys able to effective to do these things?
For me, when an environment is noisy I end up missing part of the instruction or I think a person says one thing when they said something else entirely. I'm always having to have people repeat themselves all of the time especially when a noise occurs. Did this happen with you? If so, how did you overcome it?
In addition, when I'm in various situations, I don't know what I'm supposed to do sometimes? Fnord, you were able to overcome all of this. How did you do all of this including doing the marching drills in Basic Training? What were your tools and techniques?
How were you able to get into the IT field? How were you able to obtain the hierarchy of the workplace in particular? It is said one must start at the bottom. Where is the bottom? How did you determine where to start especially when every job requires multiple skill sets and each skill requires years of experience? What were your tools and techniques? What were your specific and concrete methods that you took? You were able to figure all of this out. I admire you for that.
