An idea posted on Twitter earlier today -

When you wake up on the 22nd, run outside, look up at the sky, and shout, "THE DOCTOR DID IT! HE SAVED US ALL!! !"

People sometimes attempt to debunk this theory by arguing that the Mayans didn't actually predict that the would will end on 21/12/2012.

But that's totally irrelevant, isn't it? Even if the Mayans did make this exact prediction, why would anyone think that the Mayans were right?
