I always correct people to "WOLO" - Or "Warning of Line Overheating" - Since it's summer at the moment...

Oh YOLO, one of the phrases that makes me think that people are getting stupider every time people say it. It makes me want to stick duct tape on their mouths or something awful. Yes, I am a terrible person.

YOLO seems to be the new 'chill out, bro, driving while drunk is only illegal if we get caught!.'

Eat, drink, and be merry. It's even the attitude of ancient writings like in The Code of the Hammurabi. It isn't new, but it doesn't justify it.

I don't like the phrase, but I agree with the sentiment. Carpe diem or what have you, no reason to take life for granted.

I tried to put it into practice a bunch of years ago and failed egregiously.

The phrase is dumb and for the longest time I was like "What the heck is YOLO?!?!" Then when I found out I was like, "THAT'S what it means???"

I thought it was a new internet phrase or meme, not some stupid acronym for an old phrase.

It is a James Bond movie called "You Only Live Twice" that came out in 1967. Look it up if you are curious.
