I like to watch them play leap frog,but they are really having frog sex,amplexus.
Does not look as fun as mammal sex.Toads will even hump a rock that looks like a female toad,and your finger if you put it near them.The males make a wonderful trilling sound when they are looking for mates.I put on my Petzel head lamp and go watch nature.The speckled salamanders should lay eggs anytime now,I like to go out at night and look for them,it's best on rainy nights.
