I see no correlation between slow internet and inter-family relations.

The internet is that important dude. Next you'll be saying we have to love real people more than our smartphones, it will never happen

Confusing is topic.

When Abraham Lincoln was your age he had to light the pilot light on his home computer because they were all gas powered back then! And in the log cabin that he grew up in his parents could never afford to upgrade from dial up- ever- during his whole growing up!


But that didnt stop him from studying hard and becoming our greatest president!

I'm sure it is frustrating to have internet take so long but the rest of your family has to suffer with it also right? So why are they to blame?

There isn't any dsl service faster than the traditional agas dsl from bell/acn(third party - use bell's lines). No FTTN (adsl2/vdsl2) or FTTH
So cable is a better opinion for me for the speed... goes up to 150 megabits per second and 10 megabits of upload.... lol canada's internet is a joke....

Currently have a bell dsl line that is 5mbit/800 kbit and a third party dry loop provider called acn which has speeds of 5 mbit/800 kbit...

so mad that my father won't listen to me



dsl is flipping slow and it prevents me from watch 1080p youtube and my brothers share the line every 2nd weekend which makes it worst...
dsl gets worse when you got multiple users...

Dont get me wrong, but around 1995 or 1996, 1 year before Star Wars Episode 1 was released, you could download the Trailers at the Star Wars Homepage. I started to download the 4 MB trailer in the evening, and simply went sleeping.

So no, getting mad about it, SI or not, is simply a first world problem. Sure you can go mad because youtube video xyz dont start immediately, but instead you need to pause it to give it a little download time, but its up to you if you want to go mad about that. If my kid freaked out because of it, I´d simply unplug the router and then there will simply be no internet, that someone can get mad about. (Thats what happened, when my mom asked my in 20 minutes the third time to shut down the computer to go sleeping. No arguing, no yelling, simply no internet from one second to the other. ^^)

Jeez... nothing wrong with 5megabit! You have to be a little patient when grabbing something big, but it's great for everything else. A little slower if you have to share between other downloaders, I suppose...

Are your family members also a bunch of boobies? Because then you'd have a family full of T&A!
