Do you ask others for permission

I tend to ask permission for pretty much everything. It annoyed my dad after awhile, so I've lightened up on asking about some things.

I forgot that I do ask permission from supervisors/managers & coworkers when I'm new before I learn or get comfortable with the job routine. I ask too much then but 1ce I get used to it & feel more confident I become more of the take charge type
