Most deodorants, soaps and shampoos are a dumping ground for byproducts from the petrochemical industry, these dehydrate and strip the skin of essential oils. Standard deodorant uses Aluminium Oxides which are toxic.
I actually deal with a large number of toxic chemicals in my work, glues and resins, so I try to limit my exposure.
For shampoo my local chemist has many organic products, I select what looks good, the price does not matter too much for an annual purchase.
