Sometimes I feel obliged to be staring at a phone when out in public like when I'm standing at a bus stop or somewhere, because it has become very unusual for me to see a young person standing about on her own without staring at a phone in their hand.
I get the same feeling from time to time. Everywhere I go I see youngsters staring at their phone while walking, waiting somewhere, biking, driving and even while working.
There's this student at work who constantly checks his phone every 15 minutes. He sometimes wonders why he isn't able to work so concentrated. Gee, I wonder why!
Don't get me wrong a mobile phone can be very handy but dang, put it down for once! It seems to be taking over the lives of most youngsters.
